The Colors of Cancer campaign allows community leaders the opportunity and platform to raise awareness for the cancer type of their choosing, while raising funds to support the American Cancer Society's mission. The campaign is held from May 1st to 31st.

The campaign consists of nominated female and male community/business leaders, each with the goal of raising at least $2,500. This leaderboard campaign's fundraising efforts are primarily digital-based (i.e. social media, ACS Fundraising App., campaign website, and email). During the campaign month, candidates also commit to raising awareness by wearing the color that represents the cancer type they have chosen. All candidates in the campaign are competing against each other to be named the "Top Fundraiser!"

The campaign kicks off with a Candidate Reveal Party prior to May 1st, where each candidate is invited to attend with their campaign cheerleaders. This is also when they will receive their Candidate Success Kit and additional pieces of Colors of Cancer collateral to wear to promote their involvement.
